Ronald M. Razmi, MD, MBA

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ronald Razmi is Founder and CEO of Acupera. He is responsible for Acupera’s strategic direction, company operations, and product portfolio. Ron’s background as a cardiologist and healthcare consultant and investor gives him unique insights into the challenges facing medical professionals.

Prior to founding Acupera, Ron was a Management Consultant at McKinsey and Company and Navigant Consulting. He was previously Founder and Executive Director of cardiovascularmri.com. He has worked with many of the world’s largest healthcare companies, providing guidance on business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, product development and healthcare technology.

Imran Qureshi

Chief Technology Officer

Imran Qureshi is the CTO of Acupera. He graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science from Stanford University. After school, he worked at Microsoft for 12 years where he built slideshow features for Microsoft PowerPoint and then led the project to rebuild Hotmail.

Most recently he was VP of Engineering for CareAnyware Inc, which, during his 4+ year tenure, became the largest SaaS EHR vendor for the Home Health industry handling over 10 million patient visits. At CareAnyware, he built industry leading analytics tools including a point-of-care outcome-based care plan review tool and a tool to optimize service utilization during a care episode. CareAnyware was successfully acquired by BrightTree Inc in December 2012.

Imran holds 10 patents in computer software development and innovative user experiences.

Michael Straus

Vice President of Product Management

Michael Straus is the Vice President of Product Management for Acupera. He graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Michael has over 14 years of experience developing software solutions, with 6 years in software engineering and over 8 years in product management, spanning from large enterprise companies like Oracle to small startups. Most recently he was Director of Product Management at Healthline Networks focused on their clinical NLP, clinical search, and analytics products.

Ariane Roehder, MD

Vice President of Clinical Content

Dr. Ariane Roehder is Acupera’s Director of Clinical Content. She is responsible for all content, care pathways, and workflows of Acupera’s population care management platform. She manages the process from its creation to implementation. She works with world experts in both clinical and socio-behavioral areas to create care pathways and workflows that power the transformation in care delivery models.

Ariane holds her medical degree from Ludwig Maximillian University Munich and did her doctorate studies at RWTH Aachen University. Prior to Acupera she was trained in Neurology at one of the largest clinics in Bavaria. During this time she developed her passion for product development, which brought her to Acupera.

Michael Vidal

Vice President of Application Development

Michael Vidal is the Vice President of Application Development for Acupera. He graduated with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College.

Michael began his career with Accenture where he helped to build enterprise software solutions for telecom companies like AT&T so that they could more efficiently manage their business. After Accenture, Michael joined an innovative healthcare startup, EmergingMed, where he quickly rose to the level of CTO. As CTO he was able to implement solutions through technology that increased operational efficiency by a factor of 10, and opened new lines of business by creating a platform for customers to build on. Most recently Michael was an Engineering Manager at CareAnyware where he led engineering teams in the development of a post-acute care SaaS platform for the Home Health and Hospice industry.

Kamal Raj, BE, MBA

Kamal Raj, BE, MBA

Director of Engineering

Kamal got his start programming on a ZX Spectrum+ when he was 12. Since then he has mainly focused on solving high performance and high scalability problems at Fortune 500 companies. Kamal spent most of his career at Microsoft starting as Solution Integration Engineer and rising to Engineering Director. During his tenure at Microsoft, Kamal helped Microsoft bring its server technology into several important companies including Verizon, Intel, AMD, State Farm and WebMD. Kamal was part of Microsoft’s IPTV solution and helped customers large telecoms such as AT&T (U-Verse) helping that technology scale to millions of devices. During his last job at CloudCar, Kamal used open source and cloud technology to bring highly scalable solutions while reducing cost and time to market.

Kamal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras and a honors MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
